This is pretty simple. Add Check/Uncheck all to the 'Find/Replace' utility. I usually only want to search a few of the choices so it would be easier to uncheck all and select what I want to search.

This was added in Ignition 8.1.1.

The default should be all unchecked for sure.. Super easy to make a mistake. If you have it all unchecked by default you just have to go back do it again, if one is checked you did not want to change it can be devastatingly difficult to fix.
