The workstation app isnt using Windows Registry uri's.

The Windows registry allows for using links other than url. One of the most common used ones is mailto:e@mail.com and msteams:. Which would open the default mail/msTeams app in the client.

It would also be used to create custom URI's which would allow the app to trigger custom windows batch scripts on the CLIENT (ofc they would first have to configure the custom uri in their registry)
