Similar to the easy chart, I would like to be able to export the current Alarm table or journal as a CSV. This would take into account any filters/searches that have already been applied to the table.

7.9.7 Added the getAlarms() function to both components, which returns the content of the table as a dataset. From here, you can use system.dataset.exportCSV().

pscott: Does this function still exist in 8.1.1? Is there any documentation? Is there a way to call it from a Perspective OnClick event handler? I keep getting 'object has no attribute getAlarms' warnings

Tom Leijen: Did you ever get any follow up on this or find a work around?

pscott: Do we need to resubmit this as the feature does not appear to exist in v8.1 Perspective components.

A dataset that can be exported to csv would be perfect. Our customers ask for this ability all the time.

It agree, exposing the journal component as a dataset would be very beneficial for doing up alarm reports also
