History Tag Alias field

I would like an alias name field added to the Historical tags that can be used to select the tags and display that name in trending.
Currently the trending will display the fill path and tag name to the tag which is not always named in a user friendly way.
We currently create a second duplicate tag for trending but this is cumbersome and just adds work.

This is now very relevant for Perspective with the Power Chart. I'd like to see it where instead of giving aliases to the entire tag path, we can give aliases to the various "nodes". (i.e. - give an alias to the tag history provider, a folder holding multiple tags, etc).

I agree this would be useful. I'm trying to do something similar. I have a ton of historical tags and the tag names are not that logical / human friendly. I have got over this by adding a key below the data, but this is long winded and not dynamic.
