Lock Column(s) in Perspective Table Component

I would like the ability to lock (freeze) the left most column or columns in the Perspective Table component so that when you scroll to the right the selected columns are always left visible. This would be the equivalent of freeze panes in Excel.

I see this was a feature request in a different request that has been closed because it is too hard.
I'd like to upvote this. Agreed it is difficult, I have had to hack it to make it work, which isn't a great user experience, two scroll bars makes it look awkward and confusing to use, but clients demanded this because it is a normal table function in every other application they use. If it's too hard to implement in the Power Table, we're ok with you coming up with a different table that does have this functionality.

I too would like to see this feature. Our client requires it, but the kluge to make it work is just that. Not professional at all

Anyone heard any more about this? I could work around my current issue if I could change the table focus index (move scroll wheel) programmatically, but that also does not exist

As a work around, use separate table(s) for your frozen column(s)/row(s) and only fill in the column(s)/row(s) that you want to stay in place.

Alex Marks: The table have the ability to sort by any column. If you have two tables it would be very difficult to keep the two tables in sync.

Tom Pile: In that case, you might be able to use two duplicate tables and only show the locked column(s) on one and hide the locked column(s) on the other and then script/bind the sorting.
