Native Web Browser Component for Ignition Perspective (Similar to Vision)

I would like to request a native Web Browser component for Ignition Perspective, similar to the Chromium-based Web Browser component already available in Ignition Vision.
As a system integrator, we regularly use embedded browser functionality in traditional HMI platforms such as FactoryTalk Optix and Keyence to access web interfaces from robots, drives, vision systems, and other industrial equipment. This is an important feature for diagnostics, maintenance, and equipment configuration.
We recently performed a direct comparison using Ignition 8.3.7 and a FANUC robot controller:
- Vision: The Web Browser component successfully displayed the FANUC interface, supported navigation, rendered graphical elements correctly, and opened the robot's iPendant interface in a popup window.
- Perspective: The Inline Frame component displayed the webpage but failed to support navigation and certain interactive functions due to cross-origin JavaScript restrictions.
Inductive Automation Technical Support confirmed this limitation under ticket #203377.
From an engineering and management perspective, this raises an important question: Why can traditional HMI platforms provide functionality that a more advanced SCADA platform cannot, particularly when Ignition Vision already supports it?
Requested enhancement: Introduce a native embedded Web Browser component in Perspective with support for JavaScript navigation, interactive webpages, and popup windows, without requiring a separate external browser.
We recognize the security limitations of browser-based Perspective sessions. Supporting this functionality specifically within Perspective Workstation on industrial Panel PCs would be a practical and valuable solution.
This enhancement would significantly improve Perspective's suitability for machine-level HMI applications and third-party industrial equipment integration.
