XY Chart and Pie Chart "onActionPerformed"

With the Perpsective XY Chart and Pie Chart components it is great that you can select sections of the Pie Chart or see the series value you may be hovering over. It would be a great addition to be able to see the object in the "instances" data set that you click on or select, so that you can run code to manipulate other parts of the page. (i.e. to select a section of a pie chart, and then filter a table to data that matches that value, or open a new view to dive deeper into that data.)

I'd like to show a bar chart showing a data point for a multitude of different devices. I'd like to be able to click anywhere within the column containing that bar (not only on the bar itself, because it may not be visible if it's zero) to bring up another view, whether in a new tab or in a popup, to show more detail on that device. I think this fits into this feature request?
On the table component, I can embed the path to a view within the objects under the
data
property. I'd like to do the same for the chart components.Y
