After a video ends playing in full-screen mode, there is no button to go to the next lesson. The user has to exit the full screen mode, go to the next video, and enable full screen mode.

I really like this idea, but unfortunately it's not as simple as I'd hope.
The video platform we're using (Vimeo) does support links at the end of videos, which is great. The problem is that we currently reuse videos across different versions of IU. So, a video in 8.0 could also be used in 8.1., 8.2, and so on. On Vimeo, it's all the same video.
Say the next lesson in 8.1 uses a different video than 8.2 (maybe the feature that was highlighted in the next video changed in 8.2). In this case I need the links at the end of the video to lead to either the follow-up 8.1 or 8.2 video, depending on what the user watched.
The platform doesn't really have a means to dynamically show different videos on the end screen. Those links at the end of the video would have to be hardcoded to a URL or video.
Now, we could just copy every video over to every IU version (8.0, 8.1, etc), creating a unique entry on Vimeo for each video. This would allow us to add dedicated links at the end of the video. However, the backend of the IU website would have to be drastically converted over to that modeling. Sadly, both of these things (the copying and converting) are non-trivial.
I can see a future where we do support this, after some other structure changes in the coming years. For now, I'm just going to close the idea.
