Escalation - Pipeline Count Incorrect
This is simply feedback for you to improve your courses (already amazing, but why not make it better, right?). In the supplemental video, "Pipeline - Escalation", you wish to alert managers after the operators have been notified three times. However, in the setup you show in your example, the count will be incorrectly biased up by one. For example, after the operators have been notified only one time, when the expression block checks the "numTimes" property, the count will be two (2), as you have counted the first Operator notification twice. It seems you can easily correct this by initializing the "numTimes" property to 0 instead of 1.
Download Ignition after login
After logging in to inductiveautomation.com clicking to download Ignition shouldn't require you to fill out a form every time.
Searching in the Ignition Online Help
When using the online help, if I search for something like 'writeBlocking', the search returns no matches. I need to put the entire function name, such as 'system.tag.writeBlocking' into the search box. What if I don't know 'system.tag' part? Many times it is easier to use a web search engine to find descriptions within Help.
The questions on the tests A) need to be worded better B) need to be evaluated to see if they are even talked about in the training.
Put a tracker on answered questions. Review the questions that are answered wrong by the most people, and questions that are answered incorrectly repeatedly by the same person retaking the test.
Alarm Visualization in Vision Topic Alarm Journal Question Wrong
The question is "When you drag the alarm journal onto the window for the first time, it will pull all alarm events from the database." The challenge expects an answer of true but in the video, the speaker says that it will pull the last 8 hours.
After course completion, a printable Certificate for presentation to an employer to show verified proof of having earned the credential would be nice.
Inducitve University Course - System Console Diagnostics
I think this would be a nice addition to the "Ignition Gateway" section of IU. I would like to better understand what the information contained in the System Console and how I can interpret that information to clue me in on how well the platform is running. Granted you can't cover everything but the more I know how to troubleshoot and understand the logging the better feedback I can provide back to Ignition and Technical Support if required. Basically a run down of the system status/logging and options.
Clicking the IA Logo at the top of this page, should take you back to https://inductiveautomation.com/
When you click the logo at the top of this page, you would think it would take you back to your website. But in order to get back to the website you have to change your URL
I think "Security in Ignition" would be better located under "Ignition Gateway Setup". I'd bet this is one of the most important configurations for large companies with lots of technical data.
Not sure if this is the right place where to suggest this, anyway: it would be great to have a view on the actual bugs that are beeing handled by the software development department, something similar to this "feature and ideas" system, only the difference is that it should be managed by Ignition development team, and used by the community to keep track of reported bugs, of their development status, and vote for a bug to give a direct feedback of the impact of a bug on the Ignition users community. I know there are already the ticketing system and the forum, but I believe that a common and public area where to find informations on the bugs would be of great help for everyone
